If you’ve ever wondered what actually goes into a senior rep team shoot, let’s pull back the curtain. Last month, my Class of 2026 senior reps and I took a trip out to a cattle ranch for a project we called
“Cowboy Chronicles.”
But honestly? The most memorable part wasn’t just the final images. It was the chaos, the laughter, and unexpected snack guests.

Let’s set the scene. I’ve always wanted to do a photo shoot with cows. I mean hello are we not in Texas?!? We must! Thanks to Capt Ts Greens Farm & Cattle for providing the perfect back drop to our vision!

The highlight? The ranch’s actual residents. Let’s just say we had some very curious cows surrounding the set. They were so intrigued by what we were doing that they eventually decided to “collaborate” by eating our entire stash of snacks. We spent half the time trying to either get them out of the shot or get them back into the shot, and there were lots of laughs to be had.

We wanted to play with two distinct vibes, and the BTS prep was all about transformation:

The beauty of these shoots is watching the girls grow closer throughout the year and at each photo shoot. By the time we’re a 10 minutes in, the shyness is gone, the music is playing, and everyone feels like themselves. It’s that exact environment that I aim to create for every single one of my seniors.

Want a unique backdrop for your upcoming senior photos? Let this be your inspiration!
I am now booking the Class of 2027. If you’re looking for an Austin senior portrait experience that is less “staged” and more “story,” I would love to work with you to bring your vision to life.
