Payton’s Golden Hour Senior Session: Sunshine and Sweet Memories!
Get ready to smile because I’m so excited to share a peek into Payton’s senior session! From the moment I read her questionnaire, I knew we were going to create something truly special and full of sunshine. Payton had a very specific vision for her photos, and let me tell you, we made it happen!
Payton, a Westlake High School senior, would describe herself in three awesome words:
kind, bold, and charismatic, and her best friends would agree while also adding she is always down to do anything fun. Isn’t that just the best?
Payton loves to work and keep herself active, whether that’s going on hikes or walking to the shop. And guess what? She can’t live without energy drinks! During the photo shoot we were obsessing over a new Alani flavor and she even introduced me to a new one I haven’t tried. She’s also got great taste in music, loving Zach Bryan, Lana Del Ray, and Steve Lacy.
For her dream job, Payton wants to work in rehab, helping young teens through addiction and mental health challenges. How amazing is that?! She’s thinking of majoring in Psychology and will be attending the University of Arizona.
Payton’s vision for her perfect senior session was so clear and beautiful! She wanted sunset lighting with a bit of fuzz around the picture from the sunbeams. She wanted the more nature-flow vibe! As in nothing man-made will be in any of the photos. Which was right up my alley! Specifically she wanted that tall grass. And that’s exactly what we found in November with those gorgeous golden fields! Thank you to the beautiful and popular Common Fords Ranch just outside of Austin for creating the perfect backdrop.
I love her style and she thinks of every detail from head to toe. My favorite was her final look, Payton wore a super cute butter yellow dress, and it was absolutely amazing in those golden fields. It truly brought her vision to life and made her photos shine even brighter! We got so many beautiful, carefree, and fun-loving shots
Senior year wouldn’t be what it is without mom’s! Payton’s mom shared such beautiful and heartfelt thoughts about her amazing daughter. She described Payton as compassionate, sensitive, and brave. What she loves most about Payton today is her strength and ability to overcome struggles. And when thinking about their favorite memory together, she instantly thought of going to the beach. It’s those cherished moments that truly mean the most!
When asked what advice she’d give Payton, her mom shared this powerful message: “These past years have help shape you but they don’t define you! The best is yet to come!”. And what she wants to remember most about who Payton is right now truly touched my heart. She wants to cherish this “last year having all of my kids together!” because Payton is the oldest of her three daughters. She knows that “We will never all live together again and the family dynamic will be forever changed”. You can feel how much she wants to hold onto every precious moment of this time.
Taking Payton’s senior photos was such a joy! We created a beautiful collection of images that perfectly capture her fun-loving spirit and her specific vision. She even got a gorgeous classic black framed wall art to display in their long hallway and a beautiful fine art album with her favorite images in her choice of pink fabric. How amazing is that for cherishing these memories forever!
